| Well, the siding is almost done. My only regret is that we didn't have quite enough money to have a stone vernier put under the porch area where the gable is with the double windows. I think that would have been the final touch. Well, I can always do it later myself if I have the money. I can get to just about every part of the house with a short extension or step ladder, so it's easy.
It's an interesting house, with both a contemporary and an old cottage look. The headpieces over the window are colonial, while the use of gables are more in line with today's tastes. All roof areas have an ovehang like the older homes. The shed roof front porch adds a country charm. I like it! |
