Living Room Insulation
Here they've put the insulation batts in the cathedral ceiling and have blown in the wet cellulose insulation into the walls. Note in the upper left corner how the stuff looks close-up. It's made from shredded recycled paper. It's 100% recycled and is mainly newsprint. It has some colored bits in it and you can even read an occasional letter. I tried to burn some and it won't burn. It simply turns to a black powder as long as a flame is applied, but doesn't stay lit. There is no smoke either. Internet information from California says it's better at putting out in-wall fires than the "kraft" faced fiberglass that has a tar-like material used to make the insulation stick tot he face.
