Termite Shield Material

This house is being built with integral termite protection.  It consists of galvanized steel sheets used as a termite shield, pressure treated sill plates and steel stud outside walls.  The latter was a requirement if Loudoun County.  Anyone with half a measure of sense knows the steel studs are not needed.  Between the sill plates and the studs are the WOOD TJI floor joists.
