| Joists Seen from Above |
| This view shows the first floor decking partially covering the TJI joist. The picture was taken from the breakfast room decking. Contrast this with a previous picture that shows the basement and the column pockets. The wall you see is the foundation under the family room. That wall is only four feet shorter than the side foundation wall of our current house. There is about three feet of untrimmed OSB giving the illusion of it being smaller than it is. Still amazing. The hole in the middle of the decked area is where the stairs will go. It hasn't been trimmed open yet. That won't be done until they are ready to place the stair carriage. |
