Got Fish?
Izzak Walton League Lake

Matt is holding up a real nice stringer of eight Largemouth Bass we caught one evening at the IWLA pond.  We found that an olive worm with green or red glitter, using a "Texas Rig" with a 2-0 offset shank hook is a real getter.  You also need to know the time of day and how to play the lure.  The stringer weighed about 10-12 pounds.  The largest was about 14-1/2 inches and the shortest about 12-1/2.  We tried to weight them but my tackle box scale didn't have the resolution.  We estimate from weighing others that the largest was about 2 lbs.  They're large enough to fillet and are very sweet and clean tasting.  They'd make great fish tacos, if it's politically correct to make them with fresh water fish.  Sorry, no sushi.  Too hazardous with fresh water fish.  Maybe smoke it and put Teriyaki Sauce on it like eel sushi.  Hmmm....
