Short Main Beam

Here they are erecting the shorter of the two main beams.  You can see where the beam is resting in the pocket in the wall and the temporary column is set up for it.  They tacked a lateral brace on to make sure it is in-line with the lally column that will be put in the pocket next to the stairs.  In the foreground is a stack of OSB (Oriented Strand Board) 3/4 inch flooring.  In the background is the rest of the long main beam.
