Projects by PC Designs: 5V. to 3.3V. Switching Converter

This is a picture of the completed 3.3V power Supply External dimensions are 1.075 inches in length by 0.4 inch in width. The unit is about 0.4 inch in height. Not seen are the remainder of the components on the underside of the unit.  The circuit board was laid out in Douglas Professional Layout, a CAD/CAM program for the Macintosh. This is a two layer board, using FR4 epoxy/glass substrate.  Click HERE for the specifications.

This drawing was used by the customer to properly lay out the area for the 7 Watt 3.3 Volt power supply. The drawing includes the diagram of the basic footprint showing the nominal dimensions. Below the layout is a detail of the recommended pad size.  To the right is the signal connection list. To its right, a diagram showing the recommended ground plane split provides a low noise solution.
