| The circuit boards shown here are all part of a project completed by Arius. Inc. of Frederick MD. The main assembly shown in the upper left consists of a DSP based module (mainboard) capable of being plugged onto a PC/104 Plus standard host processor. Several boards were designed by PC Designs to help complete the project. The first delivery consisted of 25 fieldable production units. These included an Analog I/O module (AIO) a 5 volt to 3.3 volt DC to DC converter, and a specialized Telephony Interface board.
This project was done totally on a "telecommuting" basis. The parent company was in Frederick, Maryland and circuit design was done in Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey. PC board fabrication was done in several locations and assembly was done in both Sterling, Virginia, and in Frederick Maryland. Design information was sent by e-mail attachments over the Internet in PDF, MS Word, Gerber, Excel formats, etc. In addition, Arius, Inc. set up a Web area to allow access to the latest information sent by the designers.
