In addition to engineering experience as an employee, Mr. Cleveland has been involved with a number of individuals and companies as a consultant, designing a wide variety of circuits, drafting, and laying out printed circuits for through-hole, surface mount (SMT), and chip-on-board (COB) technologies. Most of the circuits designed have included a mix of analog and digital circuitry and have required a knowledge of low noise PC board methods such as plane layer decoupling, aligned-track techniques for differential signals, and the use of H/W ratios over ground planes (microstrip) to ensure impedance matching of high speed digital lines. He has designed several high output power supplies using low-loss ferrites, using pot cores, torroids, and E-cores.
Engineering design options include "Tele-designing" with periodic visits to the employer, part time on-site, and full time on-site options. In addition, work on critical projects does not have to stop on Friday. The design can be continued over the weekend or through holiday periods, even though your office may be closed.
